So a website changed its rules & formatting, & some of its users don't like it so much anymore. Shit happens. Does it have anything to do with pseudoscience, authoritarianism or fundamentalism? ŴêâŝêîôîďMethinks it is a Weasel 11:07, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

- Here's a bit of a defence. First, it was likely the 2nd or 3rd most popular answer site. It was decently liberal and pro-humanist, even rationalist (The founder of "Conservapedia" is taking it upon himself to re-translate the entire Bible with a pro-Conservative slant. Your thoughts?, should the bible be recalled and have warning stickers placed on it like movies and music do , like violence , fiction, horror, content?, Which Jesus do you like better: Baby Jesus, teenage Jesus or adult Jesus?, What if Jesus started choking you with his mind?) as answer sites go. Then the owners change the format, linking it a bit to Facebook and Twitter. They impose a few more rules, and acted like corporate jerks. Much like the old days, like RW, one needed only a name, password, and email to join. Now you have to give your birthdate. Perhaps in a few years, you'll have to give as much info as Yahoo! Answers.
As for Fluther, it's the site where many defected to.
Now if this doesn't fit in the mobarchy, fine. But I doubt it detracts much from it.Civic Cat (talk) 20:06, 22 October 2010 (UTC)- "since December 2009, similar can likely be said of RW’s SB." Why December 2009? Btw, you don't even need an email for registration at RW, just username, password and captcha. Makes creating socks easy. -- Nx / talk 20:18, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Generally, in my view, until December 2009, AB was cooler than SB, and possibly more informed in some cases. Now it isn't. I would likely have edited that part of the article if it had a chance.Civic Cat (talk) 21:31, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
- Sb was never meant to be a ref desk. it's a talk about whatever you want to place. Like I said copy them to your userspace e.g. user:Civic Cat/Answerbag and edit away -- Nx / talk 21:37, 22 October 2010 (UTC)
