following on from a debate about mugshots elsewhere[edit]
what this article refers to as unnecessary censorship is the accused's right to privacy to privacy being respected. in this particular case concerning mugshots, this supposed unnecessary censorship is standard practice across europe and the uk at least, the reasons for it to be very necessary i discuss elsewhere. that this right was breached should be is what concerned netizens who dont understand what how human rights work should actually be concerned about. it should be of greater concern to filipinos that a government minister should be arbitrarily breaching rights of its citizens considering the history of human rights abuses in than country. it should be noted that this fella is presumed innocent at this point whatever we may think of him. the whining of conspiracy theorists is not a valid reasons for the abridgement of anyones rights.
