2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Topic[edit]

Do any other liberals wish this idiot would get off the air before he hands wingnuts even more ammunition? God Matthews is an idiot, has he ever actually managed to help liberals/progressives or even the Democratic party, because he seems to do more harm than good? Iraq War[edit]

I'm pretty sure Matthews was actually critical of the Iraq War during the run-up in 2002-03. I remember him saying he "hated" the idea of it on Phil Donahue's MSNBC show and asking, in response to somebody (I think John McCain) suggesting that anti-war voters should still support Bush because of other issues, something like "When do we get to vote on this damn war?" I wouldn't call him a *strong* supporter, at any rate.— Unsigned, by: 2600:8805:9080:2370:ed15:2e70:2d61:44d6 / talk / contribs
