There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. And the description doesn't make sense with what a civic religion might be. We should probably revisit and frankly, dump, unless someone can show where it's a concept that is either not civil religion or that we made up.--Pink mowse.pngGodotSome would use a tautology to describe it ("The way things are done around here is the wa 01:36, 22 November 2011 (UTC)

Works for me, if we haven't already said the same stuff there. I found one other person using the term "civic religion" but he meant the aspects of teh US constution that are so endowed they are "as if given by a god" "as if religious" to americans, then said "specifically our civil liberties that we are so rightfully proud of". So i'm doubly dubious of this article. --Pink mowse.pngGodotSome would use a tautology to describe it ("The way things are done around here is the wa 01:45, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
