Talk:Conflict thesis
The argument against 'the conflict'[edit]
Given the need to have 'certain festivals' and events at the correct time of year, for mosques to be orientated towards Mecca wherever in the world they are, and (paraphrasing) 'understanding the universe, which is God's creation is doing the right thing by God' etc, etc, etc, there is an inherent flaw in the argument. Besides, many scientists see no inherent conflict between 'their (religious) belief systems' and 'their (particular areas of) scientific research.'
