Talk:Daily Telegraph
"half of the time for the population"[edit]
I'm not sure what is meant by this....P-Foster (talk) 14:51, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- I think Dalek has this as a work-in-progress so let's wait for a little clarification. I assume it means something about them being aimed at people, rather than a Political Party.

- That should make more sense now. :)

Infoboxes[edit]
So... could someone who is a bit more wiki-literate possibly show me how to make an infobox? I literally just want a simple infobox in the top right with four or five things in it, like, "Editorial Stance," and "Circulation".? THANK YOU! EXTERMINATE 15:11, 2 January 2011 (UTC)
- I suppose you could start here. Usually the easiest place to start with this sort of thing is to copy an existing one, but RW doesn't really do infoboxes often.

Rename article?[edit]
Shouldn't this article be renamed? It is not the only newspaper in the world called Daily Telegraph - Murdoch's screed sheet for Sydney Australia comes to mind, although I'm sure there are others. --(((Zack Martin)))™ 02:44, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- This one was first, others are copies of the name. I don't need to disambiguate Liverpool with Liverpool (Illinois), Liverpool (New York), Liverpool (Pennsylvania) or Liverpool (New South Wales) unless I am in those locations where their local significance is greater than on the global stage which RationalWiki addresses.. I know we are not Wikipedia but that is the convention which works well there. Lily Inspirate me. 05:32, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
- WP redirects "Daily Telegraph" to "The Daily Telegraph". The disambiguation page is "The Telegraph" while the Aussie version is "The Daily Telegraph (Australia)". I think we can follow the same convention. ADK...I'll repair your ox! 14:05, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
One of their columnists is a neo-Nazi who literally believes in fairies and vampires[edit]
Info is compiled here. No the section title is not an exaggeration, if anything it leaves out even more extraordinary stuff (she believes anti-racism is a conspiracy to cover up the existence of aliens and fairies) but is a decent summary. This was the subject of a libel suit and she lost. Knowing what English libel law is like, that's kind of a powerful statement. It seems she contributed much more to the Telegraph than to the Spectator so thought I'd mention it here. She also had her own thing, "Compact magazine", but just resigned as its head and has now been declared bankrupt. Chillpilled (talk) 00:35, 6 July 2024 (UTC)
