2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Talk:Egypt

I changed the text about Egyptians being Arabs. They are not, they see themselves as a separate ethnic group and different from Arabs. However, they are part of the Islamic world. Redchuck.gif Генгисmarauding 21:55, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Sounds about right. On an unrelated note, if anybody knows enough to start a "Camp David accords" article, it'd be nice to have a summary to link. ~ Kupochama[1][2] 22:15, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

30k for a month?[edit]

and this; sure its nice, its sourced, its interesting, but the crap is it doing on RW and what can be kept?--il'Dictator Mikal 06:37, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

FWIW, I've added a history and pseudohistory section. There is an evil metric fuckton of pseudohistory about ancient Egypt that might be more on mission, and the material I added just scratches the surface. - Smerdis of Tlön (talk) 00:14, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Unless someone objects soon, I think I'll fork away most of the dated material about the ouster of Mubarak. I'm not sure how on-mission it is anyway, and it seriously needs updating. There's a great deal to be done that seems more nearly on mission; the fate of the Library of Alexandria, Ottoman rule, the Rosetta Stone, do we have an article on Hypatia yet?
