Possible causes for ancient giants[edit]

'People of old' tended to be shorter than we are now (due to nutritional and other limitations), so that 'someone now considered tall' would be considered more so.

Also - there could be genetic and other benefits to the offspring of two 'smallish groups' of people intermarrying.

The 'tall people' then grow in the retelling (and 'David killing the giant Goliath' sounds more impressive than 'David killing tall Goliath'). (talk) 16:30, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
