2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!
Donations so far: $9223.37Goal: $10000

Comment[edit]

Just a comment on her 'thesis' from below: Blue-Green Algae is highly toxic, isn't it? Nobby 22:03, 24 October 2009 (UTC)

I don't think so. Just ugly in an aquarium? ħumanUser talk:Human 04:24, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
Then how come they put up signs near infected ponds and waterways telling people to steer clear and not let their dogs swim in it? Worried about the carpets? Fretfulporpentine 10:12, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
It is: "Consuming water containing high levels of blue-green algal toxins has been associated with effects on the liver and on the nervous system in laboratory animals, pets, livestock and people. Livestock and pet deaths have occurred when animals consumed very large amounts of accumulated algal scum from along shorelines." I am eating Toast& honeychat 10:28, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

God, I saw her show once. I thought she seemed quacky. Researcher 14:37, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

Bronze[edit]

I've added a bronze rating to this so the template can be tested, but what do other people think? does it deserve it? Totnesmartin (talk) 11:59, 3 May 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, this is the sort of level I'd suggest for that. Scarlet A.pngtheist 12:03, 3 May 2010 (UTC)
