Wasn't Peter Sellers a Goon once? --Kels 13:16, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

What baramin do goons belong to?--PalMD-yada yada 13:22, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
The kickassbaramin. Jrssr5 13:26, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
CP goons belong to the pseudobaramin, lameassbaramin. --Kels 13:33, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

Does anyone else mix up all this ~baramin silliness with Pokemon? Gotta categorize 'em all! --Kels 13:34, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

I've read The Princess Bride, but not recently enough to remember if the 'goon squad' exchange is in it or is original to the movie. If anyone remembers for sure (or has the book handy to verify), could they update that bit of the page as appropriate? Thanks! --jtltalk 22:40, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

Peter Sellers was a Goonie (as was that guy). The Goonies rulzed and pwned MPFC but they didn't mind. The Beetles also lurved the Goonies. humanbe in 22:44, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
Moore. Not Demi. Not Dinty. Dudley! yes... and the other one was... google/wp is your friend! humanbe in 22:51, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
Yeah, but Dudley Moore was in Beyond the Fringe, not The Goon Show. That was Peter Sellers, Harry Secombe and Spike Milligan. --Kels 09:21, 5 August 2007 (CDT)
Dang, oopsie. Did you ever see the last Peter Sellers movie? humanbe in 11:53, 5 August 2007 (CDT)
I meant to include Princess Bride, but with the caveat that they call it a Brute Squad, however, it is a trivial difference.--PalMD-yada yada 23:44, 1 June 2007 (CDT)
Ack! I got the quote wrong?! At least Google says I'm not the only one mis-remembering it. --jtltalk 23:55, 1 June 2007 (CDT)

We are the goon squad and we're coming to town beep beep!

Did the Elvis Costello song from Armed Forces (one of his masterpieces) get mentioned yet? humanbe in 11:53, 5 August 2007 (CDT)
Ah yes, I see I did... nevermind... humanbe in 11:54, 5 August 2007 (CDT)

Anyone who can pick up BBC 7 (digital radio), lsten tomorrow (Monday) @ 0800, 1200 & 1900 British Summer Time. Goon show repeat from the 50s. There was another Goon who was only with them for the first series: Michael Bentine (the first series was titled "Crazy People") The goons were strange beings in Popeye cartoons or POW camp guards. Title[edit]

Should "squad" really be capitalized? The article is inconsistent on this. ħumanUser talk:Human 13:17, 29 December 2008 (EST)

Based on my Writer's Reference Book, "squad" only needs capitalization in the title. In fact, "Goon" also only needs capitalization in the title. The Goonie 1 08:40, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
