Talk:HMRC data loss scandal
Why is this on RationalWiki? It involves not pseudoscience, science, or philosophy. A good judge of whether it belongs is to see if any other article here can relevantly link to it. You know what? You can't relevantly link to it, from any article. It just doesn't matter here. So can we delete it? -- Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 01:18, 3 January 2008 (EST)
- Don't forget politics--that would make it relevant, I'd think. --Gulik 02:43, 3 January 2008 (EST)
I like it as an example of government's blindness to consequences of their actions. Do we have an entry on 1984 (the book). There's a parliamentary committee recommending a new crime of Releasing personal data or some such. With the UK gov't pushing for ID cards, the NHS putting everyone onto aa single database and police wanting everyone's dna, it's relevant to personal freedom. - Afterthought: It exemplifies the UK goverment's total inability to cope with IT. Susanpurrrrr ... 03:11, 3 January 2008 (EST)
- Well, someone find an article to link to it. It's seemingly permanent residency on Lonely pages is driving me nuts. -- Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 04:20, 3 January 2008 (EST)
- Article is junk, really. No one will ever link to it. Hence I put a mission template on it! human 00:36, 29 March 2008 (EDT)
