Talk:International Society for Krishna Consciousness
Topic[edit]
So if you make the page more professionally written, without changing the substance, it gets reverted? So you don't want people to take stuff here seriously? That's just dumb and you can't argue otherwise... — Unsigned, by: 65.32.225.25 / talk / contribs
- SPOV. If you have a problem with RW being informal and "unprofessional," then maybe you're on the wrong site. Swerve (talk) 09:35, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- 65.32.225.25, if you're really interested in improving the article (and not just making it less antagonistic to irrational beliefs), may I suggest registering an account here? On most wikis, opinions from registered users carry a bit more weight -- a registration suggests a user is willing to discuss and engage. Heywood (talk) 14:30, 4 April 2014 (UTC)
I've written about half the page as it is, I don't think I need to prove I have an interest in improving it.--65.32.225.25 (talk) 04:13, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
Just because Prabhupada said something that doesn't mean Hare Krishnas condone it. The article never explained what ISKCON's "weird" practices were. I have met lots of Hare Krishnas (including me) that don't condone rape, for instance. -NRCore 19:37, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
- Ok. Give examples of Hare Krishnas who are public figures condemning it. ClickerClock (talk) 23:45, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
What I'm saying, ClickerClock (nice name BTW) is that just because their founder promoted rape doesn't mean they go around raping people, and it doesn't make them a cult. Also take a look at this video: http://www.iskcondesiretree.com/video/should-a-devotee-oppose-crimes-like-rapes-should-he-feel-compassi
- Checking out the video. ClickerClock (talk) 00:29, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
So how is ISKCON a cult anyway, ClickerClock? Once again nice name.NRCore (talk) 19:30, 21 June 2017 (UTC)
