2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

The "Rationalizations" section appears to me to be irrelevant. From what I can gather, Jerusalem Syndrome doesn't usually involve believing that one is the Messiah (sufferers often identify with another Biblical character). WéáśéĺóíďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 08:46, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

My understanding of it is that the overtly messianic element is powerful in the syndrome. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 18:12, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Note to editors[edit]

The TOW article on the syndrome is good, and features historical info and such (that could fit perfectly into our article on Pseudoarchaeology#Biblical_archaeology. Just a note that there's more info to be dug up and re-written as original text by us. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 18:12, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
