2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Bullshit, but missional[edit]

An article packed with straw men and factual inaccuracies. Reads like someone is butthurt that someone, somewhere was a meanie-head to Dawkins. But it is definitely missional for Midgley's commentary on science, secularism, and her later endorsement of dubious ideas and figures such as the Gaia hypothesis and Rupert Sheldrake. I love the bit about how Shrill Richard is used as a stand-in for "rationalism." PowderSmokeAndLeather: Say something once, why say it again?.Moderator 19:53, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
Much more ridiculous is the idea that Midgley is an anti-atheist Anglican. Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 21:07, 27 October 2013 (UTC)
The original author is one of those who came here from Wikipedia over the Rupert Sheldrake article. They seem to overlap with the reclusive psychic crew and share the same mentality of fighting "the enemy" per fas et nefas. It's a good idea to track their contributions.--ZooGuard (talk) 09:46, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

My version is better and more accurate. Polly (talk) 22:51, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
