2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Re the last para[edit]

Shouldn't that be 'All religions have some aspect of the occult, some more than others. They all suggest or require belief in things without evidence or plausible mechanisms'.

Possibly, by definition, except that there are some rather non-occultish religions out there. "Most" is much less disputable than "All". humanUser talk:Human 09:35, 14 January 2008 (EST)
I'd say that most properly, occultism is not just supernatual stuff in general, but rather that which is considered somehow hidden or inaccessible to normal people without some kind of special training or knowledge. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 10:39, 14 January 2008 (EST)
Well, by the wholly baby jeebus, why on earth didn't you type that into the article? Now it's forever lost, stuck here on the talk page! humanUser talk:Human 10:46, 14 January 2008 (EST)
I would, but I've been concerned about my ratio of contributions to valuable talk, talk, talk lately. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 10:59, 14 January 2008 (EST)
So true, so true. That damn 99/1 rule dogs our every contribution! Goatspeed! humanUser talk:Human 11:17, 14 January 2008 (EST)
