Talk:Pennsylvania Dutch
Move to Amish?[edit]
Do we need this? I think it should be moved to Amish. AceMcWicked 04:07, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

- Ok, doesn't bother me - i forget that this isn't an encyclopedia - Although perhaps it should be just deleted, as the Amish article is serious, whereas this is written somewhat as a parody : > Uramischbuh
- Wow 5 minutes of discussion in the middle of the night prior to deletion. If that is what you call a discussion... lol anywhay. It was said that the page was deleted cause there was "nothing in it" which is not exactly true. The following are the former contents:
Pennsylvania Dutch is a language spoken, especially in southeastern Pennsylvania and in other speech islands scattered across the U.S.A. and Canada, by the Old Order Amish, and a majority of Old Order Mennonites, although in earlier years it was also spoken by groups that are now Liberals, and speak only English, like Lutherans, Reformed, Beachy Amish and Worldly Mennonites.
Anyway, not argueing with the delete.. but to say there was nothing there implies that I am a vandal. Anyway, I am one of the few people who can actually turn the tables on someone like Schlafly, not that it really matters, but in my culture I can accuse him of being a Liberal cause he 1) dresses like a Liberal; 2) he doesn't speak PA Dutch, but he speaks English, which is a language of Liberals; 3) Probably has two kerosene lamps, or battery powered lights, a dashboard, and windows on his buggy... although he is perhaps so Liberal he doesn't even have Dach Weggeli and drives one of them Hellcarts!
