Weaseloid asked when adding the Mission Doubt template: "Does this have a purpose or is it just a vanity article?"
I suspect it is skating on thin ice. ħuman 15:02, 26 October 2008 (EDT)
- After doing that I had a look around the Astronomy category & saw there are a few similar articles on stars & such, so I guess it's not standing out too much, although I can't see how any of them really fit our three missions. weaseLOId~ 15:10, 26 October 2008 (EDT)
- We should have a special category for such so-called "Fourth Mission" articles ;) ħuman 21:13, 26 October 2008 (EDT)
- Proxima Centauri is a typical Red Dwarf star. It is also the nearest star to the Solar System. Therefore Proxima Centauri is relatively easy to study and shows astronomers what other Red Dwarf stars are like. That's relevant to questions like, Habitability of red dwarf systems. Some pseudoscientists imagine there are UFO's all over the place. Some Christians imagine life is so unlikely that God must have made the sun and the earth specially for us. Proxima Centauri is relevant in all this. I'll take the liberty and remove the template. Proxima Centauri 14:24, 11 December 2008 (EST)
- If the article, Dark flow is on mission so is this one. Let's have a consistent policy. Proxima Centauri (talk) 00:48, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
