So you don’t understand it, haven’t even be able to notice the pattern anywhere, have zero criticism to offer, and yet, with an arrogance that only the Dunning-Kruger effect can cause, arrogantly conclude it to be nonsense? … Also, who asked you for your majesty’s permission? — 87.79.178.62 (talk) 19:35, 28 January 2017 (UTC) (the article creator)
My, that's a whole lot of words all at once, don't you think? Reverend Black Percy (talk) 19:55, 28 January 2017 (UTC)

Silly irrational “deletion”[edit]

This article describes an extremely useful pattern for fending off a vile case of social cancer that is currently ruining the USA and half of Europe. But instead of fucking reading and comprehending this concept and enjoying the new insight and tools it offers, the exact idiots that are usually employing that shit, want to delete it (as if it existing was in some way harming somebody…), on the grounds “I don’t get it.”, “It’s an IP!!” ad hominem, and “Oh, let’s throw in a thought-terminating cliche inkhorn term”.

WAY TO BE “RATIONAL”, RationalWiki!

And I thought this Wiki existed as an alternative to Wikipedia’s delete-fucking-everything argumentum-ad-citationum cabal. Seems it got infected with the type of social cancer usually found on Reddit and Wikipedia. Congratulations!

#1. Do you mind calming the hell down, please?
#2. Do you mind explaining your idea, keeping #1 in mind while doing so? Reverend Black Percy (talk) 19:54, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
Wait, I think I can see what you mean, and I can remember a couple of examples of this process. But I'm not sure the article explains it perfectly. The one-upmanship you describe is something I can relate to, but I wouldn't say that the "new view" becomes the majority view, it just becomes another tribe/subculture.
Case study: facebook. Regular right-wing politician spews his usual rethoric against "fake refugees", the "invasion", "our traditions", etc. Left wing journalists and activists start counter-pages and rebuttals with the usual wide-eyed happy unicorn rainbow tone. Alt-righters then start COUNTER-counter pages to edgily mock the leftist idiot traitors yadda yadda yadda. I rarely see a fourth layer because reposted alt-right material (with the purpose of mocking or refuting it) is usually deleted faster than the original, if the original "did not respect the community's standards". I would add links but I think it would be useful just for me and the other Italian on RW.Lurio (talk) 01:35, 29 January 2017 (UTC)
