Women's Action Network (WAN) and transphobia[edit]

Women's Action Network (WAN), a feminist organization led by Ueno Chizuko once published a transphobic article and many trans activists boycotted WAN in respose to that. Furthermore, Senda Yuki, a board member of the WAN, translated Sheila Jeffreys' anti-trans book into Japanese. Despite being the head of the WAN, she made no statement about those criticisms. Muta Kazue, another board member of the WAN, defended TERF and claimed "Trancel isn't a slur". Spicyemerald (talk) 08:28, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
