Women's Action Network (WAN) and transphobia[edit]
Women's Action Network (WAN), a feminist organization led by Ueno Chizuko once published a transphobic article and many trans activists boycotted WAN in respose to that. Furthermore, Senda Yuki, a board member of the WAN, translated Sheila Jeffreys' anti-trans book into Japanese. Despite being the head of the WAN, she made no statement about those criticisms. - Muta Kazue, another board member of the WAN, defended TERF and claimed "Trancel isn't a slur". Spicyemerald (talk) 08:28, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
