Two[edit]

Question: There are two spellings of the same concept here at RW, "surah" and "sura". Generally, sura is the academic accepted spelling, but either way, I think you should choose one spelling and use it throughout. Anyone have input on which is better? You have 5 pages with Sura, and 6 with Surah. EnAttendantGodot2 (talk) 19:33, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

We can always make a redirect, but other than that, no clue. Тyeh? 19:37, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
Not so much worried about redirecting as just being consistent, i guess.EnAttendantGodot2 (talk) 20:22, 15 June 2011 (UTC)
Ok, the article on qu'ran is an older article and better edited, and it uses sura, so I think, unless anyone wants to slap me, I'll change these to reflect what you already have on that page?EnAttendantGodot2 (talk) 20:24, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Men are guardians over women because Allah has made some of them excel others, and because they (men) spend of their wealth. So virtuous women are those who are obedient, and guard the secrets of their husbands with Allah’s protection. And as for those on whose part you fear disobedience, admonish them and leave them alone in their beds, and chastise them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Surely, Allah is High, Great.
