2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

I think that I'm missing the point on this one. By one definition all our articles are original works that can be edited by anyone - at which point there is no ownership and it it is not "an original work by". So how does this differ from an article?--Bobbing up 13:34, 10 November 2007 (EST)

I was under the impression that unless noted otherwise, essays were "owned" comment pieces. This would be for essays that are pretty much open for anyone, so I guess it would qualify as an article instead. --Kels 13:40, 10 November 2007 (EST)
