Is it just me, or did there used to be a new noun every time you refreshed? — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 16:10, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Nx may be playing around with the wiki's performance at the moment - it's been temperamental for a lot of people recently - so it may have changed how the choose function operates to decrease the server load. I know that it changed not so long ago to keep the same option on the same page (such as with randomized signatures) so there may be a few other things altered. Try purging the page or deleting your temp files to see if that changes things. moral 17:12, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

- The stuff about the uncached parameter was less than clear. How would you produce a changing noun? — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:34, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- It is changing, but it only changes when the page is reparsed. -- Nx / talk 17:45, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Is there some reason that was done? I think it's significantly less funny. — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:49, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Make the noun template uncached[edit]
Does anyone else think that the noun template has been rendered lame by the changes made to the RandomSelection extension? — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:46, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- In the majority of cases, we see a new one whenever someone makes an edit or purges. So in the case of randomised signatures, people will see the desired effect. It's only a minor issue. Random quote generators all have the purge option as a clickable link to refresh the quote. Basically, it makes no difference except on looking at this page and seeing that it doesn't change very often because people don't edit it very often. moral 17:52, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- According to Nx, we can change this by adding "uncached" to the choose tag. I guess it's not a big deal to leave it, I just don't understand how it improves lulz (which is the intent of the template). — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 17:57, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe some of us want a wiki that loads quickly on large pages like the Saloon Bar over one with a slightly more random choice of words. Professor Moriarty 18:04, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
- An explanation and being a dick. Best of both worlds! Thanks you SeriousWiki waste of time and energy! — Sincerely, Neveruse513 / Talk / Block 18:10, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Obscenity[edit]
sorry but there's simply not enough obscene words in there. add these for extra lulz: cunt, bitch, faggot, vagina, loser, anus, penis, shit, ass, asshole, Republican, conservative, Assfly, bastard, nutsack, testicle, pony, porn, pedophile, cock, butt, etc.
- No. Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 04:03, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
