Bluegrass

You dislike country. Have you considered bluegrass?

Corry (talk)05:00, 30 March 2011

I actually like bluegrass more than country. I would never voluntarily listen to either, though, with rare exceptions.

Bluegrass is awesome. It's still country BTW. Liking bluegrass more than country is like liking bebop more than jazz or heavy metal more than rock.

Okay, let me rephrase. I like bluegrass more than other country.

Meh. All country music is terrible in my mind. But try Cajun music if you really want bleeding ears.

This is my only experience with Cajun. (Got to play under the direction of Mr. Ticheli himself once)

You have not lived until you have spent 2 hours listening to a man sing in Cajun French about alligators as he plays the accordion. Cajun Father Christmas with his trusty companion Gaston the Green Nosed gator.

That does seem like something you're protected from under the Eighth Amendment.

These days I just keep telling myself 14 months, just 14 more months.

:(

Why so sad? Soon I shall be free and in grad school, probably in Canada.

ТyTalk.19:54, 30 March 2011

Canada's quite far north, good for you.

Blue (is useful)20:00, 30 March 2011

Oddly, only Canadian Grad schools have been sending me offers.

Your opinion is correct. Bluegrass is about artsy tight high vocal harmony played too fast in keys with four sharps or more. Feh.

Here is some Cajun music.
