Castration is the actions performed on males in vivo which causes him to lose uses of his testicles. It has been performed mostly as a punishment till very recently and both as punishment and a job requirement in the antiquity.
Types of Castration
Physical castration refers to the physical removal of the testical of a male. Because the procedure is nigh impossible to reverse, said male is effectively removed from the gene pool by being sterile. Chemical castration on the other hand, is generally considered reversible when treatment is discontinued but usually comes with more side effect such as change in bone density when compared to physical castration during the course of treatment.
