I don't get how this combats racialism. What am I not understanding? FU22YC47P07470 (talk/stalk) 21:39, 19 January 2015 (UTC)

It combats the notion that blacks are incapable of functioning on their own, that they are unable to form functioning governments etc. (NOTE: I put "racialism" there as a link to an excuse of trying to cover up their racism).--Palaeonictis (talk) 21:43, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
I mean, it would defeat any notion that blacks can't write a constitution. But racialists will just say "But Africa is poor; blacks live there; clearly blacks can't form functioning governments". FU22YC47P07470 (talk/stalk) 22:04, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
True, but they'd forget to realize that this isn't Africa, and the reason Africa is such a fuck up today is because of the Scramble for Africa during the late 19th to early 20th centuries.--Palaeonictis (talk) 22:50, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
I'm not saying they're right. I'm just saying that even a racialist can see the difference between writing a constitution and enacting one. (The French Revolution of 1789 had quite a few constitutions, if I remember.) FU22YC47P07470 (talk/stalk) 23:14, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
This one was enacted (although Haiti has had a total of 23 different constitutions, if I remember correctly). And I`m not implying that you're saying they're right, I was just pointing out the flaws in their reasoning.--Palaeonictis (talk) 23:26, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
Then they'd just point to the fact they've had to go through so many (and have had so many problems), "Just because the blacks can set up a society doesnt mean they can maintain it". all you prove to them is they know how to write words on paper and maybe try to do what the words say--Miekal 23:45, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
I'll put it like this: This is evidence against racialism. But it's very, very weak evidence against racialism. All this evidence says is "blacks are literate enough to write about government", which racialists probably already knew. FU22YC47P07470 (talk/stalk) 00:32, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
Okay, I'll delete this one and add the writings of Frederick Douglass and others to the "Palaeonictis Archives".
You don't need to delete it. But do whatever you want! FU22YC47P07470 (talk/stalk) 03:20, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
