Shouldn't this be split off into two categories; that is West and Central Asia respectively? Dr. Ox quack specialist 17:44, 18 May 2019 (UTC)

I fail to see how this is a meaningful category at all. Southwest Asia is a well-established way of slicing that part of the continent, as are South Asia (India and most of its neighbours, plus sometimes Afghanistan) and Central Asia (basically the former Soviet republics, plus, again Afghanistan sometimes.) But this? Not really a thing. Looking at the history, it was created by a drive-by editor who made minor tweaks to Asian country articles, invented this category, and departed forever. TL;DR: it's useless - depopulate and delete (and don't forget, minor categories don't need an AfD). Avida Dollarsher again 17:55, 18 May 2019 (UTC)
