Conservapedia talk:Teaching Closed-Mindedness

The CP link should be a permalink to the version we are quoting... Nice work, I like the little IM in the center! Can't at least one read "borken"? Also, my RW IM v. 3.0 goes up to eleven, with special protective buffering circuits, essential for measuring Conservapedia. ħumanUser talk:Human 17:07, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

When I read this on CP first thing this morning I was instantly revolted. It is a hideous piece of text. Imagine Andy, teaching his class that at least half (more in fact as anyone slightly to the left of Andy is a liberal) of the population of his country are mental ill. I pity and fear the world that allows such a man to get away with such a travesty. Ace McWickedwhisky 17:29, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
Andy has this wonderful blindness. Whenever he's criticising Atheism, he always "forgets" that almost nobody in the USA is an atheist. Holy shit Andy, perhaps if both Japan and the USA have high rates of mental illness, and one is mostly atheist and the other mostly Christian... does that suggest or contraindicate a hypothesis of causality? It's so pathetic it makes me facepalm. --JeevesMkII 17:34, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
Japan ain't really atheist. Unless you count Buddhism to be atheist, which technical it may be in that it isn't exactly theist, but then most definitions of atheism consider atheists to be people who do not follow any religion at all. (Of course there are differing views on whether Buddhism is even technically a religion or not). Basically those international stats on atheism are all skewed by including buddhism into it. weaseLOIdWeaselly.jpgbite me 18:13, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

Mine was just in the shop to be fitted with an order-of-magnitude adjustment. Maxing out at 10 just doesn't cut it anymore. It would probably be a good idea to use "broken" on only one or two entries. Is it okay to break out into spontaneous voting? (see section below) --Toiretni 17:31, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

You know, you could just slap that title on the front of the site and be done with it. --Kels 18:17, 18 August 2008 (EDT)

Conservapedia: Borken! By the way, when it goes in, please to use my wonderful tyop ;) And hey, Torrent, most well-designed IMs these days have resorted to a split-log scale (the last few ticks are "double log", to prevent the needle from jamming on the stop pin. This processing is applied directly after the initial buffer, to reduce overload issues in the current amplification stage. ħumanUser talk:Human 21:48, 18 August 2008 (EDT)
I really think Strawman should be "broken" as the article itself is demonizing liberals. The other two are ironic when applied to conservapedia as a whole but the strawman sentence is ironic in and of itself. BeastmasterGeneral 08:02, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
That's why I cast my "!vote" for it. ħumanUser talk:Human 21:12, 19 August 2008 (EDT)
