Proposition[edit]

First of all I'm bleeding heart liberal and in past when someone talked about "liberal bias" I thought it was propaganda bullshit. But after some time watching progressive media(CNN, TheYoungTurks etc), reading progressive journalists(Michael Moore, Glenn Greenwald etc) I realized that right-wingers are right and have a lot of proper criticism. And of course this site is not an exception. One example: article about Sam Harris when he was accused as RACIST(I removed that category and to know why go to Talk section). Islam is a religion - not a race, get it? If this don't tell you that something wrong in your ideology I don't know what else will.

How about big obsession of labelling people that aren't agree with you as far-right/fashists?! Don't get me wrong. There're a lot of great objective articles on this site but when topic is about politics... shit, everyone who aren't on your side are automatically wrong. Period. No debate, no proper research, emotional writing. And most disgusting thing that I've seen here is quote mining to make people look batshit crazy. Couple minutes of talking to people like you and I often hear phrases like "hate speech" and "offensive". Someone went even further to support criminalizing of "hate speech". Is this a slow death of liberalism where core principle was and still is freedom of speech?! Political correctness is a BIG issue.

Another one is socialism. Yes, that creepy word. If you look at history of progressive movement worldwide you will see that people endorsing it were ideologically(social justice, income equality etc) on territory of social democracy(or democratic socialism) which is essentially strongly regulated society with mixed economy that created gradually, progressively unlike revolutionary socialism(marxism). Articles about "horrors" of capitalism filled with irrational hatred towards it only proves that.

Finally I've seen a lot of liberal minded people in media and internet flirting with antisemitism. They believe in bullshit like zionist imperialism, Israel apartheid, "poor" position of arabs that should liberate Palestine. All that gives me the creeps. Liberalism in the west became something disgusting: double standards, attack on free speech, attack on capitalism, equal results rather than equal opportunities, ideological purity. I hope this message will gain some attention because self-reflection and self-criticism is essential to ideology for not becoming a complete dogma. So what do you think about "liberal bias" after all? Thanks.— Unsigned, by: ‎5.197.3.125 / talk / contribs

You alledge you are a "bleeding heart liberal," but then you state you believe CNN to be liberal. Which statement that you made was false? This continues throughout. In fact, I don't think you're even remotely liberal. Prove me wrong. Hipocrite (talk) 18:37, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
You know that people aren't limited to being liberal on every topic right? Unless you want to create an us-them mentality, that shouldn't be a problem. Secondly, the American left is full of closeted antisemitic horseshit. They spew out the most antisemitic views on Israel possible while still remaining closeted about it, and then ask questions about how the Holocaust was able to happen. –Meine Ehere heißt Toleranz (Talk | Contribs | Ragebox) 18:41, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
I dare our Azerbijani friend to tell me just one thing that makes him a "bleeding heart liberal." Secondly, no, it's not. The far left is, but that's the lunatic fringe. The mainstream left is strongly supportive of Israel's right to exist. You lack the cognitive ability to discern the difference between loud disempowered people occupying wall street and waving signs and people with actual power and authority. Hipocrite (talk) 18:46, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
Here we go again. As I said I'm watching CNN and TheYoungTurks and would vote for Democratic Party if lived in US. But let's focus on my message rather than me without trying to put another pointless label to dismiss my arguments without having debate, ok? That's ideological purity in action btw. And you are wrong, mainstream left is antisemitic as well. Go to youtube and spare some time in comment section on so-called liberal channels.— Unsigned, by: ‎5.197.3.125 / talk / contribs
Right, because youtube comment trolls are the "mainstream left." Buhbye. Hipocrite (talk) 19:10, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
You know it's not hard to differ trolls with provocative messages from channel audience speaking in their support of arabs. So debate is over because I'm not liberal enough, right?— Unsigned, by: 5.197.3.125 / talk / contribs
"So debate is over because I'm not liberal enough, right?" No, I think the debate is over because your opening statement wavered somewhere between concern troll and regular garden variety troll. --Inquisitor (talk) 19:37, 19 June 2013 (UTC)se
So now I'm troll. Interesting what's next? Racist right-wing neocon?! http://smg.photobucket.com/user/rylasasin/media/losing-the-debate-shout-troll-1.jpg.html — Unsigned, by: 5.197.3.125 / talk / contribs

I don't think there's much value to calling someone out as not liberal enough Supurb (talk) 16:32, 29 May 2019 (UTC)
