Debate:Moxibustion

Proposition[edit]
Does anyone know enough to know whether there is any science behind moxibustion - or is it just woo ? It isn't (yet) listed under the woo CAM listing. Should it be ?
- The American Cancer Society says, "Available scientific evidence does not support claims that moxibustion is effective in preventing or treating cancer or any other disease." Moxibustion can involved using mugwort, an "unapproved" herb in the German Commission E system, or wormwood, a neurotoxin. Most studies on moxibustion have not been scientifically rigorous.[1] It's probably worth a separate RW page, as it's in common use in some parts of the world.
