Proposition[edit]

The statement at the head of the front page of RationalWiki claims the following:

'We welcome contributors, and encourage those who disagree with us to register and engage in constructive dialogue.'.

My experience of the reality is very different from this, in attempting to bring some balance to an extremely biased article Trans-exclusionary radical feminist I was prevented and the only explanation provided was 'Stop injecting faux "balance".' from an editor. I have been involved in the 'Gender Critical' community for several years and can attest that a large part of the article mentioned is not just inaccurate but also heavily biased.

It strikes me that in reality for certain subjects, RationalWiki is not as open to criticism and alternative viewpoints as it suggests.

Did you really start a debate page because you couldn't get your point of view inserted into an article? What are you, 12? ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 11:04, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
@Maurice I think you misunderstood phrase you quoted. You were allowed to explain your opinions on the talk page, but to insert them on the article you also need to convince us that they are right. Gender Critical ideas are fringe even for Wikipedia, an overall neutral site. RW is not neutral, as GC explained to you, and most, if not all of us consider gender criticala form of hate speech. @GeeJayK It's not just that it's hate speech, it's also just poor reasoning in general. ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 20:48, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
