Did you see the improved version?:
There is a passage in the Gospels that suggests that a lack of faith is the cause of the dilemma, and greater faith is the solution:[1]

- Thanks, Susan I am actually working with that improved version. Genghis Marauding 09:50, 9 December 2007 (EST)
- You could add that simply relying on God to solve all your problems is actually a sin in itself, known as tempting the Lord. Seen in such passages as [1], [2], and especially [3]. Schlafly's use of Matt. 8:23-27 here is pretty crappy theology, on the other hand. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 10:59, 9 December 2007 (EST)
Maybe you should put down Andy's ridiculous lie that the men as a whole stood back and volunteered to let the lifeboats go down. In fact, there was violence and threats in place to prevent them just jumping on board, which several actually tried. --Kels 10:53, 9 December 2007 (EST)
- I think I said that some men withdrew their places but not enough to make a difference. Maybe I should emphasise it a bit. Genghis Marauding 10:59, 9 December 2007 (EST)
- Well, I was mostly just trying to hand you a source to toss in. Same one Wikipedia uses, which should burn Andy's buns just that little bit more. --Kels 11:26, 9 December 2007 (EST)
Anybody know why the references don't show up? Fixed - mark-up error. Genghis Marauding 11:52, 9 December 2007 (EST)
Just wanted to point out that the article is gone on cp. Maybe you should mention that, says the anonymous IP? 125.168.109.69 14:45, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. It appears to be just cp:Lifeboat ethics and was probably a long-standing typo. My bad. ГенгисRationalWiki GOLD member 16:36, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
