2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Again[edit]

Are we actually doing yet another southern strategy essay? I think we have enough. I mean, I don't make pointless weather essays just because I like weather.

Also, I wouldn't say the 1876 strategy failed, because Hayes did win, but only by one electoral vote, requiring Florida, Louisiana and South Carolina to vote for him. If they had voted blue, Tilden would have won in a 203-186 scenario. --Andrew5 (talk) 22:24, 4 December 2021 (UTC)

The effort of Hayes and Wheeler to create Republican inroads among old Southern Whigs was not successful. UShistoryanalyzer (talk) 22:47, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
Hm... also posting a status update regarding LT. I was going to ask when you're going to do that. --It's-a me, Lgm sigpic.png LeftyGreenMario! 23:56, 4 December 2021 (UTC)
To LT's credit, his research into Republican "Half-Breeds" is impressive, notwithstanding his unfortunate lack of a life. UShistoryanalyzer (talk) 00:34, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
