Qur'an 74:1[edit]

O you Enrobed one.

Qur'an 74:1 Notes[edit]

You wear clothes.

Qur'an 74:2[edit]

Arise and warn.

Qur'an 74:2 Notes[edit]

Be prepared

Qur'an 74:3[edit]

And magnify your Lord.

Qur'an 74:3 Notes[edit]

God isn't happy with just a small amount of magnification. You have to really make him BIG!

Qur'an 74:4[edit]

And purify your clothes.

Qur'an 74:4 Notes[edit]

Perhaps use some fabric softener.

Qur'an 74:5[edit]

And abandon abominations.

Qur'an 74:5 Notes[edit]

Abominations that some guy who called himself a prophet made up and claims that a great being in the sky spoon fed him this information.

Qur'an 74:6[edit]

And show no favor seeking gain.

Qur'an 74:6 Notes[edit]

Except of course when you're supposed to do things in order to get into heaven.

Qur'an 74:7[edit]

And be constant for your Lord.

Qur'an 74:7 Notes[edit]

Follow the advice that some guy claimed is the word of God.

Qur'an 74:8[edit]

When the Trumpet is blown.

Qur'an 74:8 Notes[edit]

It's not clear if it is an angel that will blow this trumpet.

Qur'an 74:9[edit]

That Day will be a difficult day.

Qur'an 74:9 Notes[edit]

The great loving forgiving God will make it a horrific day full of pain and horror.

Qur'an 74:10[edit]

For the disbelievers—not easy.

Qur'an 74:10 Notes[edit]

And so we begin the conversion to this religion propaganda in this Surrah by threatening those who don't believe this crazy nonsense with eternal punishment. Very typical of some religions.

Qur'an 74:11[edit]

Leave Me to him whom I created alone.

Qur'an 74:11 Notes[edit]

This refers to Walid ibn Mughayra Makhzumi

Qur'an 74:12[edit]

And gave him vast wealth.

Qur'an 74:12 Notes[edit]

He didn't get rich through his own actions but it was somehow magically given to him

Qur'an 74:13[edit]

And children as witnesses.

Qur'an 74:13 Notes[edit]

He didn't have sex with his wife whenever he felt like it and managed to get some sperm into the egg as millions of men do every day, God somehow encouraged that sperm...so it seems.

Qur'an 74:14[edit]

And smoothed things for him.

Qur'an 74:14 Notes[edit]

It actually seems that most times Allah intervenes in this book the last thing that happens is something being smoothed over but a lot of drama or horror happening.

Qur'an 74:15[edit]

Then he wants Me to add yet more!

Qur'an 74:15 Notes[edit]

Can you believe a being that a God created to want things...actually wants things?

Qur'an 74:16[edit]

By no means! He was stubborn towards Our revelations.

Qur'an 74:16 Notes[edit]

He found the rantings of the prophet a little hard to swallow? Can you believe it?

Qur'an 74:17[edit]

I will exhaust him increasingly.

Qur'an 74:17 Notes[edit]

The kind merciful God cannot handle his puny creations having a mind of their own. An all immense incredible being is so petty he inflicts suffering onto those who don't buy the story some guy who meditated in a cave tells them...of course...all of this just taken on his word.

Qur'an 74:18[edit]

He thought and analyzed.

Qur'an 74:18 Notes[edit]

Critical thought? Gods brain goes "error...error...cannot compute...independent human using independent cognitive faculties...error...error...must destroy being".

Qur'an 74:19[edit]

May he perish, how he analyzed.

Qur'an 74:19 Notes[edit]

How can one possibly start a creepy fearful religion without calling for the blood of those who resist these wacky ideas?

Qur'an 74:20[edit]

Again: may he perish, how he analyzed.

Qur'an 74:20 Notes[edit]

This needs to be repeated in case you didn't get the message which is...doubt this hunk of junk or pay the price.

Qur'an 74:21[edit]

Then he looked.

Qur'an 74:21 Notes[edit]

He faced misfortune.

Qur'an 74:22[edit]

Then he frowned and whined.

Qur'an 74:22 Notes[edit]

But he probably realised there is no God in the sky and his misfortune was for a plethora of rational reasons.

Qur'an 74:23[edit]

Then he turned back and was proud.

Qur'an 74:23 Notes[edit]

If discounting a fictional fantasy is pride then...GOOD FOR HIM!

Qur'an 74:24[edit]

And said, “This is nothing but magic from the past.

Qur'an 74:24 Notes[edit]

Of course it was.

Qur'an 74:25[edit]

This is nothing but the word of a mortal.”

Qur'an 74:25 Notes[edit]

Some guy in the Quran is finally making sense.

Qur'an 74:26[edit]

I will roast him in Saqar.

Qur'an 74:26 Notes[edit]

The loving God in the sky is extreme sadiistic.

Qur'an 74:27[edit]

But what will explain to you what Saqar is?

Qur'an 74:27 Notes[edit]

It is the loving merficul God's underground torture chamber.

Qur'an 74:28[edit]

It neither leaves, nor spares.

Qur'an 74:28 Notes[edit]

Designed to be the most disgusting idea anybody has ever come up with.

Qur'an 74:29[edit]

It scorches the flesh.

Qur'an 74:29 Notes[edit]

God loves making his creations suffer.

Qur'an 74:30[edit]

Over it are Nineteen.

Qur'an 74:30 Notes[edit]

The angels of torments: one of Allah's more obscene creations.

Qur'an 74:31[edit]

We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and caused their number to be a stumbling block for those who disbelieve; so that those given the Scripture may attain certainty; and those who believe may increase in faith; and those given the Scripture and the believers may not doubt; and those in whose hearts is sickness and the unbelievers may say, “What did God intend by this parable?” Thus God leads astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. None knows the soldiers of your Lord except He. This is nothing but a reminder for the mortals.

Qur'an 74:31 Notes[edit]

Wow. Insulting people with critical faculties as "sick" when the sick thing is thinking that any creature ever deserves eternal torture for a though they have in their mind.

Qur'an 74:32[edit]

Nay! By the moon.

Qur'an 74:32 Notes[edit]

Sigh

Qur'an 74:33[edit]

And the night as it retreats.

Qur'an 74:33 Notes[edit]

The night doesn't retreat, the world spins in such a way that the Earth turns away from the Sun.

Qur'an 74:34[edit]

And the morning as it lights up.

Qur'an 74:34 Notes[edit]

More fitting poetry.

Qur'an 74:35[edit]

It is one of the greatest.

Qur'an 74:35 Notes[edit]

This refers to the resurrection.

Qur'an 74:36[edit]

A warning to the mortals.

Qur'an 74:36 Notes[edit]

That people actually take this resurrection thing seriously?

Qur'an 74:37[edit]

To whomever among you wishes to advance, or regress.

Qur'an 74:37 Notes[edit]

You mean to the heaven and hell thing Mohammed invented to trick people into believing his invented religion?

Qur'an 74:38[edit]

Every soul is hostage to what it has earned.

Qur'an 74:38 Notes[edit]

You earn or deserve your afterlife purely through whether you gave into the prophets trickery into believing in his invented religion.

Qur'an 74:39[edit]

Except for those on the Right.

Qur'an 74:39 Notes[edit]

Those who were tricked into believing.

Qur'an 74:40[edit]

In Gardens, inquiring.

Qur'an 74:40 Notes[edit]

They aren't just decomposing bodies in the ground but magically their "soul" is transported to a super duper happy place.

Qur'an 74:41[edit]

About the guiearnlty.

Qur'an 74:41 Notes[edit]

This refers to sinners.

Qur'an 74:42[edit]

“What drove you into Saqar?”

Qur'an 74:42 Notes[edit]

What drove me to hell? Having an independent thought in my head.

Qur'an 74:43[edit]

They will say, “We were not of those who prayed.

Qur'an 74:43 Notes[edit]

Bobbing your head up and down on a carpet to a fictional being in the sky.

Qur'an 74:44[edit]

Nor did we feed the destitute.

Qur'an 74:44 Notes[edit]

Uhhh...non-believers give to charity just as much as believers. Nice try though.

Qur'an 74:45[edit]

And we used to indulge with those who indulge.

Qur'an 74:45 Notes[edit]

Not believing in this book apparently makes you a liar.

Qur'an 74:46[edit]

And we used to deny the Day of Judgment.

Qur'an 74:46 Notes[edit]

As any rational person would.

Qur'an 74:47[edit]

Until the Inevitable came upon us.”

Qur'an 74:47 Notes[edit]

By this we are supposed to believe that there really is an actual Judgement day? As opposed to nothingness?

Qur'an 74:48[edit]

But the intercession of intercessors will not help them.

Qur'an 74:48 Notes[edit]

This is supposed to mean that even angels who take pity on people being roasted for eternity, cannot help you.

Qur'an 74:49[edit]

Why are they turning away from the Reminder?

Qur'an 74:49 Notes[edit]

Because it is ridiculous.

Qur'an 74:50[edit]

As though they were panicked donkeys.

Qur'an 74:50 Notes[edit]

More insults to people who don't swallow this malarky.

Qur'an 74:51[edit]

Fleeing from a lion?

Qur'an 74:51 Notes[edit]

And yet more.

Qur'an 74:52[edit]

Yet every one of them desires to be given scrolls unrolled.

Qur'an 74:52 Notes[edit]

This is probably one of the biggest challenges to the claim that God exists: why doesn't he directly communicate with us? Why does he do it via "prophets" we have no logical reason to believe?

Qur'an 74:53[edit]

No indeed! But they do not fear the Hereafter.

Qur'an 74:53 Notes[edit]

I fear the Islamic after life as much as I fear the underworld in "Stranger Things".

Qur'an 74:54[edit]

Nevertheless, it is a reminder.

Qur'an 74:54 Notes[edit]

No...not it is not.

Qur'an 74:55[edit]

So whoever wills, shall remember it.

Qur'an 74:55 Notes[edit]

No...no we don't have to.

Qur'an 74:56[edit]

But they will not remember, unless God wills. He is the Source of Righteousness, and the Source of Forgiveness.

Qur'an 74:56 Notes[edit]

Why would I show awe towards a being who roasts his creature for eternity for not believing what some guy who meditated in a cave said?
