have I forced black holes to be some kind of bad word? Bohdan

Just thwarting our vandle with fancy wiki stuff. CP should learn cascading protecting, you should suggest it instead of the redirected to deleted page :). tmtoulouse heckle 13:46, 16 August 2007 (CDT)
Please explain what it is. It sounds valuable. Bohdan
That would be helping the dark side! - Icewedge 13:48, 16 August 2007 (CDT)
True, but we are better people :). Its a page like this one that is protected with cascading protecting so any pages linked to it are also protected. IT allows you to "protect" a deleted page AND keep it deleted rather than having to have the page and redirect it to a protected page like CP is doing. tmtoulouse heckle 13:49, 16 August 2007 (CDT)
Protecting pages from reacreation is actualy pretty foolish. Its way to easy to get around. Better just to delete the page. - Icewedge 13:54, 16 August 2007 (CDT)

Black hole[edit]

Any chance of unprotecting? Assuming Bohdan et al have stopped pissing about with it. I've just laboriously written an article & find it unpostable. Keep me out of it! 18:23, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

I'd be willing to, opinions of other sysops? Locke Eye.jpg Always Watching...... 18:25, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Of course I could do it TK style (CapS) - I've tried it & it will.Keep me out of it! 18:33, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

It's unprotected now. Locke Eye.jpg Always Watching...... 18:34, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

Encyclopedia dramatica[edit]

Does this need to be redlinked in this page? as it appears in the wanted pages list, even though this page indicates it is definitely an unwanted page. --Remarcsd 20:00, 9 October 2007 (EDT)

If it does not transclude then the protection does not work. - Icewedge 20:10, 9 October 2007 (EDT)
I suspected that it may be something like that. The irony is beautiful.--Remarcsd 20:14, 9 October 2007 (EDT)
Did I ruin it by nowiki'ing the template link?--PalMD-If it looks like a donut, eat it 20:29, 9 October 2007 (EDT)
Probably. Read above how this works. When you protect a page, you get the option to also auto-protect any page it transcludes. (think how handy that would be on template-heavy pages like the main page here) You kinda un-transcluded it. I think. No biggie though. Western civ. will stumble on, even in the darkness. humanUser talk:Human 20:40, 9 October 2007 (EDT)

Creation protection[edit]

Why don't we get the creation protection feature such as exists on Wikipedia instead of this kludge?--Ipatrol 23:29, 16 April 2009 (EDT)

What version does it run on? Also this isn't Wikipedia, you seem confused as you have mentioned it at least 3 times in the last half an hour. - User 23:37, 16 April 2009 (EDT)
