What questionable same-sex attraction is this!? --Kels (talk) 04:43, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- The phrase "New Mexican Green Chili" sends shivers down my spine worse than any nail on any black board. It is Chile people Chile. tmtoulouse 05:29, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Chili is some crap they make in Texas with left over cow. Chile is a specific plant/fruiting body, that can be part of a chile sauce, or chile powder, or chopped chile, frozen chile, or anything else. Really the green and red chile of New Mexico is specific to a small region in the Rio Grande Valley. It is the most addictive substance ever created, but often makes life worth living. tmtoulouse 05:45, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
- Just to confuse matters, the plant is chilli over here. Chile is just the country. Totnesmartin (talk) 07:58, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

"You could also find a woman with unshaven armpits and ask her where she buys food."[edit]
Um, sexist much? My partner don't shave her pits, that says nothing about her culinary habits. RaoulDuke 00:54, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Does she like chile/chili? ħuman 01:17, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Not especially. RaoulDuke 01:21, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- I was quoting Human, though I don't view it as sexist. It has nothing to do with women per se. The reference might as well have been to a "follow someone wearing a tie died shirt because it's an artless reference to hippies liking chiles. I'd be happy to change it if your objection extends past the knee jerk range. 01:37, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- It is pretty much a knee-jerk reaction, but one based on a long history of someone that I love very much having all kinds of assumptions/comments made about her, many of them quite hateful, all because of a simple preference in her grooming regimen. RaoulDuke 01:47, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- Wish I hadn't read this thread. AceMcWicked 02:21, 27 October 2009 (UTC)
- I huff hairy ladypits of all sorts. I don't hate them. I love them and all my assumptions about them are lovely. I was referring to the hippy predilection for hirsuteness, which is admittedly a liberal bias. I didn't mean to offend you. I will edit the article to reflect your sensitivity for the sensitivity of women with unshaven armpits toward references to their furry upper-ladyparts. 02:59, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

largely defensive weapon of chili powder[edit]
This article jus got a namecheck at defensesprays.com, without mentioning defensive uses at all. How odd. Totnesmartin (talk) 19:41, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
- I am well-pleased. Thanks for the headsup Martin. Nutty Roux (talk) 20:20, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
