2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Talk:Aetherometry

Eugene F. Mallove[edit]

Eugene F. Mallove a well known supporter of cold fusion seems to have been involved with Aetherometry. On this article by him he lists the Aetherometric Model as an alternative to the Big Bang:

"Aetherometric Model (P. Correa and A. Correa, 2002— partially published): The universe is infinitely old; time and space manifolds are separate. The spectrum of a microwave cosmic background radiation is quantitatively explained in detail by the continuous cosmological formation of electrons (and attendant gravitons) from the aether. Part and parcel of an aether physical process that: “. . .converts free, nonelectric, nonelectromagnetic, nongravitic, ‘latent thermal’ or ‘antigravitic’ massfree energy into ORgone energy, or ambipolar electric radiation and, in the process, also converts other elements of the free nonelectric Aether into mass-energy (and thus monopolar electricity) and into gravitational energy." Orgone energy to replace the Big Bang theory? I have not been able to locate this paper, it says it is partially published. Forests (talk) 23:35, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

I can't even slightly make sense of this[edit]

Is there any intrepid soul who can cover the "explanation" in footnotes? It's a highly suitable RW literary form to write apparent gibberish with a ton of footnotes to certify "no shit, this is actually what they think", c.f. I have, of course, done it myself, at the blog. Lots of backportable links there - David Gerard (talk) 20:07, 12 April 2013 (UTC)

The redirect issue[edit]

Appears to be no longer true. I’ll change all the links and remove the warning in a minute, unless anyone else is still experiencing it. Christopher (talk) 17:07, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
