I'm sure we had an article on this but I can't find it under fun or anywhere else. --Bobbing up 15:31, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Maybe you're thinking of Fun:Beer? --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 15:40, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- I guess I must have been. :-) Meanwhile the article now reads: "Meanwhile, the British often claim to produce the best beer in the world, but this is easily refuted as pure delusion. After all, if it was the best, they wouldn't be serving it at room temperature, would they?"
- This is explained in the article itself. It is not necessary to chill British beer as that would destroy the flavour. I shall revert this presently if no facts are forthcoming to substantiate this deceit.--Bobbing up 16:08, 18 November 2007 (EST)

- I'm afraid you'll have to take that discussion with your ISP, good Sir, as it displays perfectly for me. As for the question of the quality of English beer, and the proper temperature at which to serve it, I can only say that I believe that the two beer sections currently match each other quite well in terms of overall factual accuracy. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 16:21, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Sir: I must object to the "Huddersfield & District Branch Beers from the Top of the World" being used as a source for the quality of British beer on the grounds that it was written by an Englishman who obviously wouldn't recognize a real beer if it bit him in the buttocks. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 16:33, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Dear European person, who better to evaluate British beer than the people who drink it? Were the rest of the continent to use the pound Stirling and learn to drive on the left, they too could learn to appreciate fine British beer.--Bobbing up 16:40, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Dear descendant of the proud Anglo-Saxons: I can only assume that the uncountable idiosyncracies of the British people, of which these strange beer-related ways are by no means the least, are somehow the result of the fact that you have been detained on that archipelago of yours for far too long. You should really come over and join the rest of us in the real world sometimes. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 16:45, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- When the rest of the world realises the error of its ways they will be welcome to share the pleasures of pounds, ounces, miles, gallons and the Fahrenheit scale. One day soon the Euro will betray you and once again it will be the responsibility of UK beer drinkers to pick up the pieces in europe and save it from itself. (Actually I can't write much more of this, I feel ill.)--Bobbing up 16:54, 18 November 2007 (EST)

On the fun side of beer, has anyone else tried Monty Python's Holy Grail? It's excellent stuff. Also for a Canadian perspective, Devil's Pale Ale is terrific. Best canned beer I've had, seriously. --Kels 16:37, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- For some reason I was expecting at least some wine-tasting fine appreciation types on this site of intellectuals. Guess I was wrong. :P Nullahnung (talk) 07:51, 20 August 2013 (UTC)
Carbonization[edit]
Of course, anyone who's done any home brewing will know that forced carbonization of beer is a poor substitute for natural carbonization provided by the little yeasty beasties. --Kels 16:39, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- Absolutely right Kels. Beer served with top pressure is an abomination. --Bobbing up 16:55, 18 November 2007 (EST)
- An unfortunate side effect of the mass market. --Kels 16:59, 18 November 2007 (EST)
Evil?[edit]
Why is this in the evil category even though you aren't fundamentalist retards?

A warning[edit]
Shouldn't there be a warning that you must not drink alcohol at all at ages 18-21 or you will become an alcohol abuser [1]?
