Personally, I could write a long ranty essay about how much LSUsecure sucks. ТyTalk. 14:21, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
Do it, it's wondefully cathartic. I am now an eiderdown of bliss on a meadow of sine waves. Totnesmartin (talk) 14:32, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
You mean Openreach, not British Telecom if it's an infrastructure issue. Scarlet A.pngtheist 14:53, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
says BT on the bills, so BT it is. What's openreach? Totnesmartin (talk) 15:03, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
It gets very complicated. OpenReach is the division of the BT Group that they spun off to handle the physical local network wiring after they told told that they had to make it available to competitors. It's all part of the same group, but run as a separate entity. Your beef is still with BT though as they are responsible for making sure your connection works. They might need to chase Openreach to get info and do work, but I don't think you can do it directly. Worm(t | c) 15:41, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
Not any more, they're a completely separate entity now. I know a few people who used to work for them and they got sick of being lumped in with BT. Their responsibility is in the wiring and maintenance of the lines and disconnection issues tend to be infrastructure problems rather than ISP troubles. Although a lot of the fancy fiber-optic stuff is handled by Virgin, so they can be to blame too. If they're doing that sort of upgrade work in your area, it will disconnect your broadband at random intervals. For everything else there's netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt. Try dealing with Eircom. They're on my very short list of companies I'll never again do business with. Concernedresident omg!!! ponies!!! 16:04, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
Or Talk Talk, who are infamous for fobbing off tech support problems to other companies. Scarlet A.pngtheist 16:08, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────I'm with O2 who (I think) started out many years ago as BT's mobile arm. My landline's BT & about once a week I get a sale call from them trying to sell me their broadband. Apart from a 2 hour drop last Friday, I've never had any trouble and at £7.50/month unlimited there's no way I'm going to change. --Scream!! (talk) 16:22, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
