Shortwave[edit]

I used to get him on my shortwave radio over this side of the pond. Mostly the show was about him asking for money so I gave up - I was sample-hunting and wanted something better. Totnesmartin 19:31, 22 March 2009 (EDT)

He is still on shortwave - can't stand listening to him, unlike some others he isn't even fun to listen to for the lulz, just annoying. Secret Squirrel 19:40, 22 March 2009 (EDT)

End of the Overcomer's radio ministry[edit]

That's a great comment on the SWLing post, and very true. I think that Brother Stair is the only current customer WWRB in Tennessee. That station may kick the bucket in January, or get mothballed. I fear for WRMI since they formerly ran a lot of B.S. and their transmitter facility in Florida (formerly home of Family Radio) can't be cheap to operate. WWCR should survive; they at least have old dead Dr. Gene Scott and Pastor Barbie as an anchor client. WHRI is not dependent on B.S. in any way. WBCQ will feel the sting of no more B.S. revenue but will be just fine. As of today I think that the only two domestic shortwaves still running Brother Stair are WWRB and WBCQ. Allan Weiner at WBCQ recently said he would continue to run Stair weekdays for an hour at 2300 UTC after the start of 2018, and in all likelihood that will be it for Stair's formerly massive broadcast ministry.
