2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

I Was Told This Religion Was Just Satire[edit]

According to my friends, who are followers of the Church of the SubGenius, told me that nobody that follows that religion actually believes in it, but that it is, rather, a parody of all the fundamentalist-based religions of the world.

Do you believe that? ħumanUser talk:Human 19:55, 22 April 2009 (EDT)
Absolutely. These friends are the kind of people that are, essentially, highly critical of everything that anyone takes seriously. They claim to actually be devout atheists, so I doubt they'd be intentionally be lying about this. But then again, they are "deceitful liberals" according to Conservapedia. The clip-art says it's a clip-art parody religion that uses clip-art to clip-art and clip-art clip-art clip-art J.R. "Bob" clip-art. Nutty Roux100x100 anarchy symbol.svg 14:40, 6 March 2014 (UTC)
