2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Alien bases[edit]

Could there be a generic 'Alien bases' page to cover this and other suggested places (with a nod at Hobbs Lane Station and 'a selection of' Dr Who series/episodes).

Will note this - would methane bubbles from rotting vegetation and movements in the ice etc be a more likely cause of sounds? Anna Livia (talk) 13:28, 10 December 2021 (UTC)

Sounds like a good idea for a larger article, and "alien bases" is in keeping with other "alien ..." articles. There could be a section "Dulce base" based on what's now specifically about that, which this can then redirect to if such an article becomes ready. --ApooftGnegiol (talk) 04:25, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
Is my analysis along with 'beastie noises' likely to be a better explanation of the sounds (based more on eg [1] and 'seems plausible' than actual scientific knowledge). Anna Livia (talk) 10:59, 11 December 2021 (UTC)
