2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $10, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!
Donations so far: $8765.50Goal: $10000

Insulation[edit]

The reason it's better without shoes is that they insulate you. — Unsigned, by: 2a00:23c4:d47d:1:6d3d:59e3:fb08:8dd0 / talk

Where would [1] and similar devices fit into the discussion? Anna Livia (talk) 19:57, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

Comment by a psuedoskeptic[edit]

First time in my life I've found the rational wiki to be so irrational on a subject. You only have to know how the body has an electrical charge and planet has telluric currents and put two and two together. Oh well. — Unsigned, by: 5.81.57.224 / talk / contribs

You only have to know that the theory of relativity is a social construct to know that walking out of second story building will help you levitate! (Disclaimer, don't do this, you will maim and/or kill yourself.) On a more serious note, why exactly have you chosen woo-woo over science? If it's so simple, where are the peer reviewed papers? ☭Comrade GC☭Ministry of Praise 00:09, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
'But I thought this was Rationalwiki!'
How should devices such as [2] and [3] (other images and devices available) be included/referenced in the article, being 'the ancestors' of these devices? Anna Livia (talk) 09:22, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
