Topic[edit]

This charlatan is surely worthy of an article. Am willing to make a start if the community agrees.‎ Creatafon (talk) 05:27, 28 May 2015

Knock yourself out, you don't need anyone's permission, though if the article is too crappy (mind you, I think a Tolle article is on mission) it might be nominated for deletion. Btw, don't forget to sign your posts. ScepticWombat (talk) 05:36, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

We should definitely note that he is known for producing somewhat inspirational quotes. Benn (talk) 21:40, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

Whoever wrote the Ego topic.[edit]

"Because fuck your family, your nationality, and anything that makes life worth living. Meditate on this and be free of suffering! Because nationality makes your life worth living, probably ethnicity and race even more!"

Nationality, ethnicity and race make your life worth living? Who the wrote this absolute horseshit? Eckhart is a charlatan, but you got some bigger issues than that if your entire raison d'aitre is built on artificial identities. This is peak anti-rationalism / romanticism right there.185.194.187.0 (talk) 14:37, 14 September 2019 (UTC)

I believe that the section about ego is a complete misinterpretation (a straw-man in other words) of the ego concept as used in Eastern philosophies/religions and presumably as used by Tolle. It is an egregious example of intellectual dishonesty, as it doesn't even remotely approach the topic at hand, and it only serves to insert the editor's own views into the mix. 93.105.116.56 (talk) 00:21, 25 December 2019 (UTC)
That section was shat out by Giametta88, whose only contributions were for this page. The entire article deserves a rewrite.—€h33s3βurg3rF@€3 Spinning-Burger.gif (talkstalk) 01:15, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

I believe that his ideas on 'life essence' are worth mentioning[edit]

Judging from a 2014 YT video, Tolle was asked on Oprah Winfrey Network about life after death. That's when he espoused a rather antiquated and ridiculous view that living beings are animated by indestructible life energy or essence — because, as all rationalists ought to know, energy is indestructible! I am not really a Wiki editor, so I am unsure where to put it in the article and what sort of wording to use. 93.105.116.56 (talk) 00:10, 25 December 2019 (UTC)

Damn.[edit]

He really does look like a gnome. Twodots (talk) 17:09, 21 November 2020 (UTC)
