Maybe it was a popular name back then? --Gulik 11:27, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

Could be. I'm also a bit concerned by the phrase:"In the "official" verson it now reads;. The implication being that there has been a recent change. Unlikely I think. I also wonder if there is an "unofficial" King James version? :-) --Bob_M (talk) 11:37, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

Sheesh. Don't people know how to read anymore? ;-) The Goliath in I Sam. is killed at the battle of Sokoh while Saul is still king. The one in II Sam. is killed at Gob during David's reign, many years later. Why would they refer to the same person? --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 11:51, 26 July 2007 (CDT)

Greenberg[edit]

Could we perhaps consider avoiding using Greenberg as a source for this stuff? The man never seems to provide references for anything, or even state his credentials - most likely because he doesn't have any worth mentioning. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 16:42, 26 July 2007 (CDT)
