Bit more complicated than that. The popularity of the Labour party has been steadily falling since the 1997 bloodbath that swept them to power and many of the policies which caused the fall in popularity (i.e. the Iraq war) were the responsibility of Blair. Brown is now in the unfortunate position of having to carry the can for both his own failures and Blairs. --Ebon 16:56, 10 March 2009 (EDT)

Yeah, Brown seemed to be a sacrificial lamb for the damage caused by Blair. His career was pretty much done once he become PM, no matter what he did. Was he really that much of an asshole? Osaka Sun (talk) 02:12, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
