Talk:Idiocy of Intimacy

Is this really a thing? A Google search for "idiocy of intimacy" only returned results for the Swedish professor's paper "Nationalism: The Idiocy of Infany" and nothing else. It doesn't appear as if the phrase has gained any currency beyond that one paper. It doesn't appear as if political commentators ever use it to talk about people liking Nigel Farage because he fools them into thinking he's a normal bloke in the pub. I'm starting to think that this is about as useful as "two meters". Spud (talk) 13:30, 13 November 2014 (UTC)

Isn't this common knowledge? I thought it was pretty obvious that most elections' results are based on popularity along with party loyalty (that is, non-rigged elections). 141.134.75.236 (talk) 13:33, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
The best I can come up with is this. I say delete this stubby stub. Doxys Midnight Runner (talk) 13:35, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
Yes. That's the paper I was referring to. I got 3 results for that and nothing else. In response to the BoN, yes, people vote for someone who seems nice but I can't find any evidence that political commentators call that "the idiocy of intimacy". I'm going to call delete on this stubby stub. Spud (talk) 13:42, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
