Is that actually an over-generalization fallacy?[edit]

The argument is one of a pseudo-logical form, suggesting that if you're exposed to enough and consistent enough racism, racism becomes a component of you whether you want it or not. It's not a charge that everyone likes racism, or that everyone is equally racist, which would be obviously without merit, but that we all have racist influences in our lives and socialization that affect who we are. There's lots of very reasonable objections to raise to it about how people actually work, but the process of "generalizing"(extrapolating from a noticeable correlation to a broad conclusion) isn't involved, as far as I can tell. ikanreed 🐐Bleat at me 17:53, 9 November 2018 (UTC)

It's a prejudice plus power type argument, for sure, but it strikes me as a bit more of special pleading; basically she's arguing that to eliminate racism, you have to be OK with us (or at least her personally) saying and believing these things about someone of another race. That's my impression. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 03:11, 28 March 2019 (UTC)

Stub[edit]

Is it normal for the stub template to be at the bottom? I thought I usually saw them at the top. 91.125.101.224 (talk) 06:17, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

Stub templates should go at the bottom of the page on this wiki. Maybe you're thinking of another one. Spud (talk) 09:14, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
