Talk:Morrissey
A few clarifications[edit]
Morrissey is popular with Mexican Americans, mainly in Southern California. The main reason for this is probably KROQ, a radio station that played The Smiths and Morrissey solo on fairly heavy rotation. The other reason for this is probably the large Latino population (which is mostly Mexican), which comprises around 40% of the region's population. The reason for that is, probably related to the fact that the state used to be part of Mexico.
Should the song "Bengali in Platforms" be added to the list of his racism? I find the song patronizing. 172.113.227.105 (talk) 11:07, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
Edit war on LGBT and hard-green[edit]
I noticed an edit war with GrammarCommie and an IP (134.82.187.74). The categorization of him being LGBTQ is accurate, which was why I marked the edit as patrolled. I checked the Wikipedia article myself and read a lengthy section about him as well as noticing a category (first thing I did when I patrolled the edit). I don't think we have to detail too hard on that aspect of him since it's not immediately missional to me. Hard green might be a more contentious thing, but it's at least hinted/supported a bit in the article itself concerning his over-the-top stances on animal rights. --It's-a me, LeftyGreenMario! 00:13, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
Career Path[edit]
In a not-very-spooky coincidence, Morrissey's career path exactly mirrors the standard Facebook reaction icons. Mr Larrington (talk) 23:57, 7 October 2022 (UTC)
