There should be a section about his more recent racism[edit]

However, I am currently too lazy to write it. Anybody wish to do the honors? another Jewish conspiracy by (((Laurogeita Hamabost))) (talk) 23:22, 28 August 2016 (UTC)

There should be. And whoever writes it, don't add the headline before there's any text written! :3 Reverend Black Percy (talk) 23:41, 28 August 2016 (UTC)

The devils advocate[edit]

So, I feel like I should explain a bit about why Mainers are willing to put up with LePage's blatant racism. Until recently, Maine was virtually all white. The Somalis were settled in, and other than a few hiccups they mostly found a nice littly niche and don't really bother anyone, but they aren't important to this story. When the opioid crisis hit, one of the things Lepage did was to make it more difficult to get prescribed painkillers, which while understandable and probably necessary, resulted in a lot of people turning to heroin. Now, most of the people pushing the heroin were local white people, and even most of the people from out of state were also white, but for virtually the first time Afromericans showed up to Maine. So even though white people made up the majority of drug dealers, the image of black people pushing drugs stuck. That's why when Lepage started up with D Shifty and the like, he wasn't chased out of Maine.

But I don't know how to incorporate this into the article properly. StickySock (talk) 18:49, 16 November 2017 (UTC)
