2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

I just read the JREF forum thread. And I do not think it's fair to say that "armed security" was a "requirement." I think reading Prophet Yahweh's reply shows that he was flexible on the matter, and it was more like a suggestion. Prophet Yahweh appeared concerned with security. He wasn't asking to close a public park, or insisting to have armed security. He just wanted the precise location not to be shared so as to attract negative attention. That, or to go to some private property. He even suggested his own. — Unsigned, by: 98.186.201.21 / talk
